| The Last Laugh |
![]() Over the holidays my wife and I hosted a neighborhood party. One of our neighbors happened into the kitchen and after seeing our Kangen Water machine asked, "What's that thing?" I replied an ionizing medical device from Japan that purifies the tap water and changes it into alkaline, antioxidant-rich water." She started laughing and proceeded to tell me that water purifiers were a waste of money and that tap water was safe, healthy and costs nothing to use. Why in the world would anyone drink water that was purified? I couldn't help it. I burst-out laughing, I thought she was kidding. She wasn't. After what seemed like an eternity, I regained my composure, nodded my head and apologized for laughing. I then spent the next 15 minutes educating this woman on why tap water isn't fit to drink. You should know my neighbor is not a dummy. In fact she has a PhD from Duke and works in the medical field. Here is what I shared with her, straight from a chapter in my "Treating and Beating Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" book:
Toxic Water: What You Don't Know About Your Drinking Water May Be Dangerous A study released by Ralph Nader's Center for Study of Responsive Law in Washington, DC, shows that much of the nation's drinking water is unsafe. Tests conducted in 38 states found over 2,000 toxic chemicals in the drinking water. About 10 percent of these chemicals are associated with causing cancer, cell growth, neurological damage, and birth defects. Thousands of chemicals found in our water supplies have never even been tested for safety. So what's in the water Americans are drinking? Here is a partial list of the unwelcome additions that have been found in drinking water:
"A vast array of pharmaceuticals -- including antibiotics, anticonvulsants, mood stabilizers, and sex hormones -- have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans." - AP investigation
To be sure, the concentrations of these pharmaceuticals are tiny, measured in quantities of parts per billion or trillion, far below the levels of a medical dose. Also, utilities insist their water is safe. But the presence of so many prescription drugs -- along with over-the-counter medicines like acetaminophen and ibuprofen -- in so much of our drinking water is heightening worries among scientists of long-term consequences to human health. In the course of a five-month inquiry, the AP discovered that drugs have been detected in the drinking water supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas -- from Southern California to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit to Louisville, Kentucky.
Officials in Philadelphia said testing there discovered 56 pharmaceuticals or byproducts in treated drinking water, including medicine for infection, pain, high cholesterol, asthma, epilepsy, mental illness, and heart problems. Sixty-three pharmaceuticals or byproducts were found in the city's watersheds.Antiepileptic and anti-anxiety medications were detected in a portion of the treated drinking water for 18.5 million people in Southern California.
Researchers at the US Geological Survey analyzed a Passaic Valley Water Commission drinking water treatment plant which serves 850,000 people in Northern New Jersey, and found a metabolized angina medicine and the mood-stabilizing carbamazepine in drinking water.
Do I really need to continue? I think you get the message. Her
mouth was wide open and she had a blank stare of either shock or
disbelief. I went on to tell her about my Kangen Water machine.
Our drinking water is not safe! Home water filtration is the most logical, most economical, most convenient, and healthiest alternative to tap water. With home water filtration, you can pick the degree of purity you want and have complete control over it. Considering the extreme importance of healthy, chemical-free water, a quality home water filter system may be the most valuable home appliance you can invest in.
Water Filter Systems In
the past, I've recommended and used reverse osmosis home water filters.
However, in the past few months of trial and research, I've found that
ionized water is the best choice, far and above better than other water
filter systems. The Kangen Water medical device changes ordinary tap
water into an electrically charged, ionized, alkaline, antioxidant-rich
water. My Experience With Health Enriching Ionized Water
I was first made aware of Kangen Water in 2008, but it wasn't until a friend of mine used the water and got dramatic health enriching results, that I really did my homework on this amazing water device. His incredible health turnaround was very impressive, but it took another miraculous event in my own family when my wife noticed a health issue she had dealt with for many years simply go away in a matter of weeks to convince me to put this medical device into both my home and into my practice.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather be drinking a glass of health enriching, ionized, alkaline, antioxidant-rich Kangen Water than one tainted with arsenic, chlorine, and prescription drugs.
I'll drink my Kangen Water straight up, without a side of sex hormones, thank you very much. My
neighbor left the party carrying two gallons of Kangen Water and has
been back for water several times since. I'm chuckling to myself as I
write this-I guess I got the last laugh. I hope you are enjoying spreading the word about Kangen Water as much as I enjoy sharing it with my patients and loved ones.
